Fresh corn tortillas pressed by hand throughout the day, slow-cooked fillings, and salsas made the way they should be.
We started Pico's Tacos because we thought Mexican food wasn't being given the stage it deserved in the UK.
Too much of what's called Mexican here is Tex-Mex cheap thrills. We wanted to do something different: focus on the core flavours of Mexico — real technique, honest ingredients and exceptional British produce cooked the Mexican way.
Like all good Mexican restaurants, we start with the tortilla. Fresh, authentic corn tortillas made throughout the day by hand — and naturally gluten-free.
For the fillings we focus on traditional recipes: slow-cooked cochinita, beef suadero, chicken tinga (plus loads of options for veggies/vegans that get just as much love). Finally we finish the tacos with our house salsas — everything made fresh and daily. Independent fast food, but not in a rush.
